A coastal base with a promenade, cafes, and easy access toward the City Bowl without the same beach-holiday focus as Camps Bay.
Best for
Walkable coastal mornings, couples, repeat visitors, and travellers who want restaurants and a calmer evening rhythm.
Trade-offs
The promenade is not a guarantee of sheltered swimming, and driving to the peninsula or Winelands still takes planning.
Plan around it
Use the promenade as a low-effort arrival activity, then group City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard stops instead of crossing the city repeatedly.
